Salem on the Edge is more than a gallery; it is a center for contemporary art and community in the heart of downtown Salem.

Since taking over the gallery in 2024, owners Anna Davis and Eric J. Frey have evolved the gallery into a space that bridges the gap between the art world and the Salem community.

We are dedicated to representing established and emerging regional artists who move the needle. From our "Art After Dark" events and Tea with an Artst,  to high-volume open calls like the 100 x 100 and Erotica shows, we believe that art should be accessible and that everybody should have original art they love on their walls. 

We believe in the power of the human touch and physical spaces in an increasingly digital world. Whether through traditional fine art or experimental digital mediums, we celebrate work that is beautiful, meaningful, and diverse. We are here to foster a new generation of collectors, provide a space for artistic voices to be heard, support the livilihood of our artists,  and keep Salem’s art scene vibrant, relevant, and sharp.
